The COVID-19 pandemic brings Vietnam outbound travel to a standstill. As this unpreceded situation happened, it not only severely hit the tourism industry, but also caused a sudden shock in the traveler’s community. The recovery in outbound tourism follows a weak 2020 and 2021, where lower traveler confidence and strict COVID-19 measures saw numbers shrink to a fraction of what they were in 2019.
