Hanoi develops night-time and adventure tours to achieve its goal of welcoming 3 million international visitors by 2023.
In the conference to summarize 2022 and deploy the mission of 2023, the Hanoi Department of Tourism aims to welcome 3 million international visitors and 19 million domestic tourists this year.
According to Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Hanoi will promote night tourism products. Meanwhile, the capital also renews the pedestrian zone in Hoan Kiem Lake and opens a walking route around Son Tay ancient citadel.
Currently, Hanoi has outstanding night tours, including Sacred Night at Hoa Lo Prison, Decoding Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ngoc Ngu Xa Island night food street, and walking street areas. Night tourism products attract many international visitors and prolong their stays.
In addition, the capital also boosts adventure sports such as helicopter and hot air balloon rides. Moreover, the project develops five travel routes including the central route of Hoan Kiem – Ba Dinh – Dong Da – Ho Tay; Ha Dong – My Duc combined with Tam Chuc (Ha Nam) – Trang An (Ninh Binh) to promote spiritual tourism. The remaining three routes include Son Tay – Ba Vi – Quoc Oai; Dong Anh – Me Linh with flower tourism products; Soc Son route with experiential tourism products.
Hanoi also focuses on upgrading the quality of products and tourist destinations associated with heritage – relics.
