Following the success of the Golden Bridge in Da Nang, the Kiss Bridge is being built in the south of Phu Quoc Island.
The structure is expected to become a new symbol for Vietnam tourism. The Kiss Bridge is right next to the “Mediterranean town” on the southwest coast of Phu Quoc island. The idea of building the bridge originates from the love story of The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl.
The unique architectural design
Kiss Bridge consists of two independent branches, each 400m long like a soft silk strip reaching out to the ocean. In addition, it is the only bridge where the two sides meet in the middle of the sky and its gap is about 50 cm. The gap is just enough for two people to touch and kiss each other.

The architects successfully calculate the “touch point” of the two sides of the bridge to welcome the sunset on the ocean. Meanwhile, the sun will slowly descend, appearing in the center of the bridge, “falling” right through the 50 cm gap between the two large arcs before sinking to the seabed.
The bridge has a total volume of 5,000 tons of steel. The bridge’s two noses have a consent span (horizontal bridge structure, only fixed at one end, one end is free) up to 25m, an unprecedented record for a pedestrian bridge over the sea.
The Kiss Bridge carries cultural values
The project has a cultural significance. The Sun Group and the world’s leading Italian design agency, Archea Associati, are responsible for creating this architectural masterpiece of Italian beauty. The bridge also evokes emotions about the tragic love story between Romeo and Juliet. This is also the first project in Vietnam of talented architect Marco Casamonti – Ambassador of Italian Design Day 2020.
The representative of Sun Group investor shared, “We want to work with the world’s leading architects and engineers to create a new symbol for Vietnam tourism so that international friends know that Vietnam is a place to visit. with beautiful nature, unique culture, a new promised land, and for Vietnamese people to be proud.”
In addition, the Kiss Bridge is also a beautiful background for the Kiss The Stars show to debut in December. Kiss The Stars is the first multimedia technology application show in Vietnam, with a combination of light, fire, laser, animation, sound, etc.
The program applies Vortex technology, one of the most modern projection technologies in the world today. This technology promises to bring attractive and unique performances to viewers.
