Recently, a Vietnam Airlines flight from Hong Kong arrived safely at Noi Bai airport (Hanoi).
This is the first commercial flight connecting Hanoi and Hong Kong following a three-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ngo Tri Hung, the representative of Vietnam Airlines in Hong Kong, stated that Vietnam Airlines was the first Vietnamese airline to reopen regular commercial flights with Hong Kong.
He also stated that the Hanoi-Hong Kong flight route will operate three times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Vietnam Airlines will consider boosting the frequency of service between these two destinations in the near future.
Vietnam is known to be Hong Kong’s eighth largest trading partner. Meanwhile, Hong Kong is the fifth largest investor in Vietnam.
Previously, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Hong Kong-Hanoi route was formally discontinued beginning in February 2020.
